Some Thoughts on the Baptism and Filling of the Holy Spirit

The Two-fold work of Jesus Christ:

CLEANSER OF SIN - The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said "Look, the Lamb of GOD, who takes away the sin of the world." John 1:29

BAPTIZER WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT - "The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit." John 1:33

THIS TWO-FOLD WORK OF GOD WAS PROMISED BY THE PROPHETS - "Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all you idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statues, and you will be careful to observe my ordinances." Ezekiel 36:25-27
